Practo Practo.com has always been helping patients connect with the right doctors. In our continual quest to make doctor selection simple for all our users, we have made changes to Practo.com. As always, these changes have been designed keeping in mind our ‘patients first’ philosophy.
We have done away with the doctor badges on Practo.com and will be transitioning to a significantly more robust and comprehensive system which will make it easier for you to choose the right doctor based on reliable crowd-sourced recommendations.
This means, going forward, there will be no ‘Most Booked’ and ‘Most Revisitors’ badges on Practo.com.
Some of the reasons for removing the doctor badges on Practo.com are:
- Badges were indicative rather than informative and hence didn’t really help you with decision making
- With the launch of Practo Direct, it is not possible for us to track the number of appointments that are booked for doctors as we directly connect you with the doctors via phone and hence the badges will become inaccurate over time
- The new patient story system that is in works, is much more reliable and comprehensive; and has thus made badges obsolete
With the new Patient Story system patients will be able to make more informed decisions based on the number of recommendations and the nature of patient stories a particular doctor profile receives from other genuine & verified patients.
