India was barely recovering from the 2020 COVID-19 outbreak when the second wave swept the nation once again, leading to a sudden and sharp rise in positive cases over the past three months. Over time, we have onboarded thousands of new doctors and facilitated millions of consultations, medicine delivery and diagnostic tests at home, to cater to the massive surge in requests coming from patients in different parts of the country. We believe that health services should be equitable, patient-centered, affordable, safe, and timely. And our efforts over the years have been towards increasing access to high-quality healthcare.
Equitable vaccine distribution is essential to reducing disease transmission, and thus putting an end to the pandemic. We have pledged to help companies and communities provide vaccine doses to their workforce under our ‘Corporate Suraksha’ programme. The Fairfield Health Experience Zones (FHEZs) will play an integral part in the preparedness for vaccine deployment and administration, as part of the ‘Corporate Suraksha’ programme.
Along with our clinic partners, we’ve set up these zones to strengthen secondary care access and experience for patients. But given that accelerating the vaccination drive is the need of the hour, these zones will have two main objectives for now: 1) To strengthen secondary care experience for patients; 2) To support India’s vaccination drive.

Over the years, we’ve clearly expressed our conviction to make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for a billion+ Indians. Strengthening secondary care experience for patients
High quality care access is vital to building a patient-centered ecosystem. All our products and services revolve around patients and their needs – from 24*7 online doctors consultations, appointment booking service with doctors at top hospitals and clinics in the country, and health plans for families to medicine delivery and diagnostic tests at home across 16,000 pin codes. FHEZs are built on the same philosophy and vision – to place patients at the centre of care.
FHEZs are conceptualized with the aim to strengthen secondary care experience for patients in India. We are doing this by partnering with caregivers and by bringing leading doctors, surgeons, clinics, and hospitals under one roof. We want to create an environment that benefits both patients and physicians. While doctors have the advantage of high-tech infrastructure and improved time management, patients gain access to high quality care at affordable rates.These experience zones are established as part of existing clinics, to expand access to secondary care. FHEZs will mainly cover General Surgery, Urology, and Gastroenterology. Currently, we have partnered with nine existing clinics in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.

Lending support to India’s vaccination drive
With the government’s vaccination drive under way, India’s healthcare system needs a helping hand to inoculate as many citizens as possible. Practo’s Corporate Suraksha programme, helps us do just that, by expanding access to corporates, communities and their family members. The programme complies with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s COVID-19 vaccination guidelines. As the next step, FHEZs are being assigned as vaccination centres for corporates, in addition to their own office premises and the government-empanelled hospitals.
These zones will soon be operational in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, and Ahmedabad, among other cities.
