Shashank ND Today we’re announcing our entry into Indonesia – the 4th largest country in the world by population – to help nearly 250 million consumers make better healthcare decisions.
We will begin with Practo Search, which will be available in both Indonesian Bahasa and English. Of course, our award-winning smartphone apps have also been localized, to ensure consumers have the best possible healthcare experience.
This will be the first time Indonesians will be able to find the right doctor and book appointments online. Practo Search enables consumers to search through a verified database of doctors and find the one that’s right for them. Consumers can search using doctor’s name, specialization, and even symptoms. They can then visit the Practo Profile for each professional or establishment for more details, including years of experience, qualification, affiliations and specialization as well as see clinic photos and get GPS co-ordinates of location for easy turn-by-turn navigation – right from within the Practo App.
At launch, we already have the largest database of doctors in the country, enabling consumers in Indonesia to search through over 4200 verified doctors and over 60% of all clinics across Jakarta DKI, using our website & apps specifically built for the region.
Over the next few months, we will also expand our coverage to the broader Jakarta Raya area covering Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi regions. Additionally, Practo will soon expand its offering to cover more healthcare segments such as wellness, fitness, pharma, preventive and curative medicine, making Practo your single go-to resource for any health need.
Simultaneously, we’re also embarking on expansion within the Philippines to completely cover Cebu, Cavite and Batangas regions. Practo already covers the Greater Manila area and lists over 70% of all doctors in the region (over 11,000).
Practo, in the Philippines, is also seeing tremendous adoption of Practo Ray – the cloud-based SaaS practice management solution used by thousands of doctors and clinics around the world, managing millions of patients every year.
