Transforming patient experience with simple intuitive technology is far from easy. Today we have taken a serious step towards this. We are proud to announce that Practo has secured an investment of Rs 25 crore from Sequoia Capital!!
It’s been four years now and the journey has been nothing short amazing!
“The idea to create Practo Ray, came out of our understanding of doctor’s pain in managing patient records and scheduling appointments”says Shashank ND, co-founder Practo. Launched in 2009, Practo Ray is an easy-to-use online software that has helped over 8,000 doctors treat 3 million patients across 5,000 different healthcare centres in India. With intuitive features like appointment scheduling, automated follow up reminders and EHRS that include x-rays, prescriptions and bills, it manages around 10,000 appointments every passing day!!
“We believe that Practo has the potential to become the dominant cloud-based healthcare platform in India and we’re excited about the new services that Practo is planning to launch on top of the robust platform they have already built” says Shailendra Singh, Managing Director, Sequoia Capital.
With this round of investment Practo aims to expand its current 80 member team to around 350 in the next two years. What’s more? We even plan to launch our various products globally!!
Two of our recent products have created quite a splash among doctors. Practo Virtual Receptionist with its ability to manage patient calls 24×7 with a dedicated healthline number, has many doctors tuning in for sign ups!! While practo.com helps patients find doctors and book apponitments through an online-interface.
